Your packing service or freight forwarder, must make sure any wood packaging you use meets the requirements. We comply with ISPM 15 and provide certification for our bespoke and export packaging.
ISPM 15 affects all wood packaging material (pallets, crates, dunnages, etc.) requiring that they be debarked and then heat treated or fumigated with methyl bromide and stamped or branded with a mark of compliance. It's main purpose is to prevent the international transport and spread of diseases or insects that could negatively impact plants or ecosystems.
We are accredited with the Forestry Commision, and authorised to export packaging using our stamp. The timber we supply for packaging is kiln dried & heat treated to 56°C/for 30min - ISPM 15 compliant.
To prevent the spread of disease our Timber is Heat Treated, cut to size and stamped ready to be exported.
